I have just received the Sony TV. What a pleasure setting up this model. Clear precise instructions and even straight forward for a 'geriatric.' The TV was received on time and packed in a sensible way. The picture is great and the instruction booklet easy to use. Thank you. 7 of 12 people found the following review helpful

After spending a while trying to find a replacement for my aging Samsung 26" LCD TV, I finally decided to buy a Bravia - I've got a 40" Bravia in my living room and I love it, so I thought I'd shoot for something with a similar performance. The main reasons I wanted to upgrade from my Samsung TV was that the maximum resolution I could get was 1080i and the blacks never looked black - more a dark grey - I was forever messing around with the settings to try to find the 'perfect' setting - but it seemed to change depending on how much light was in my room.
Anyway - these TVs are LED which are supposed to have a blacker black and obviously this TV supports 1080p. So I pulled the trigger and placed an order for this TV on 2nd June (a Saturday) now bearing in mind at the moment in the UK we are in the middle of an extended Jubilee bank holiday so we get Monday 4th & 5th of June off too, this order arrived today (5th of June - still in the holiday period) - the delivery date was set for tomorrow - I was pretty amazed to say the least.
Ok, that's where the good stuff ended. Plugging my PS3 and Xbox360 (which are the main reasons for buying it) I found the display to be sluggish and slightly out of focus - I tried every setting (yes, I did try the game setting!) all of which made little or no difference.
I thought I'd try watching a Bluray movie on it - looks nice if not watching an action movie as the display seems to blur when there is a lot happening on the screen.
I'm undecided as to whether the TV is operating to within it's parameters and so am reluctant to initate a returns - so I'm going to look for another set and sell this on.
Pros - looks nice
Cons - everything else.
