Came slightly damaged in one corner. That wasn't a problem though, Amazon sent us a brand new one and gave us a month to get the old one back to them (they paid for the return as well). Good to know they look after their customers from go to whoa, as it was damage caused by the delivery guys. Cheers Amazon. :)The tv is perfect for what we needed. It's fits beautifully in our small flat, and the picture quality when gaming in supurb! Bit of glare, but we have to have it right next to a window, goes away with the blind down :P. Tv isn't the greatest, but we're running standard coaxial, not through a sky box or anything so I'd say that's more to do with the input quality. Movies through my gaming console are spot on too. Oh, and it's quite energy efficient and also gives off very little heat even after a marathon session shootin' bad guys.
I'd give this tv a thumbs up for an entry level FullHD LED, and if in the future we ever need to purchase another tv, I'd look at Samsung again before any other make. Hope this helps. Cheerio!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Samsung UE40D5000 40-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 100Hz LED TV with Freeview - Charcoal Black (Electronics)
I have had this TV for a month or two. My wife chose it for looks alome to fit the decor (so my dreams of a 55inch were shattered!). I have it fitted to the wall invisibly 'plumbed in', and I have to admit that it looks stunning. The picture quality is very good. I do not have Blu Ray but my Toshiba DVD player upgrades the picture quality of ordinary DVDs to fully show the TVs capability. The everyday picture from the basic Sky box is certainly far better than the old 26inch CRT it replaced.
There are plenty of connections on the back, including 4 HDMI sockets, but please note that there are no SCART sockets. The TV comes with a Samsung adaptor lead that connects the TV to a SCART lead. This adaptor arrived damaged (the adaptor plug that fits into the TV end does appear fairly flimsy)and the lead is apparently not generally available over the counter, and is also not cheap. However AMAZON came to the rescue and agreed to send a replacement lead free of charge in order to spare me replacing the TV. Another thing to note is that the TV does not support the ARC function. This means that if you intend to fit a Soundbar you will need to use an Optical cable rather than an HDMI lead. This could make control of the Soundbar more awkward in use. This point may seem irrelevant to most, however this brings me to the most dissapointing aspect of this TV. That is the sound quality. Whereas I stated that the picture quality was far better than my old CRT, the same cannot be said for the sound. The manufacturers need to do something with regard to LED TV speakers. I for one will not buy another set until this problem is sorted. We are paying lots of money for sounds that would not be acceptable from a 1970s transistor radio.
All in all I would recommend this TV, especially if you buy it with a whopping discount through Amazon, but don't expect too much from the speakers.

I know this is too early for a perfect review but I since there are no reviews for this TV and not much info on the web, I thought of putting my initial thoughts about this beauty :))I am really happy with the purchase. I got it today in excellent packaging and on time (courtesy DPD courier service).
Assembly:
> Can be done by a single person.
> Pretty easy
Design:
> Simple and elegant
Picture Quality:
(currently using a V HD Box, but will soon upgrade to V+ HD) + HDMI cables (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0031APPM4/ref=oss_product)
The picture quality is excellent (note that I have not yet seen how the HD channels turns out). I assume that the V HD box does upscale the standard definitions to HD. I started off with a Scart connector to see the picture quality and was disappointed but as soon as I used an HDMI cable mentioned above, I was getting excellent picture quality.
As I write this review, I am watching cricket (IPL match) and the picture quality is absolutely brilliant.
Sound:
Very impressive
AllShare, AnyNet - Not yet tested.
The only negative as of now:
Freeview channels. Auto tuning didn't find any.
Please do not make any conclusions as these are my initial thoughts. I will have a good look at TV for a week and I will update my review.
At the price of 534 GBP, I think it's a good deal.
I have given a 4 star as of now as my FreeView didn't work else I would have given a 5 star.
