Bought this product as bought a Kitchenaid food mixer from the US. The transformer doesn't take up much space on the kitchen work tops and worked first time when using the mixer.

This transformer is neat, fundamentally silent and does precisely what it claims to do. I have loaded it to within a fraction of full 500w capacity without any side effects. On first use *only*, it took about 5 seconds to reach 120v output, and tripped the RCD on the house sockets when we switched it off. But ever since has worked perfectly. No complaints, would recommend completely.

I was delighted to get a step down transformer which was compact, and quiet, easy to use, and does exactly as you need it to do. I was given a Kitchen Aid Mixer which very good friends brought over from the States for me, and was not sure what to do with the electrics being different, but with a little research and advice came up with this transformer. As the Kitchen Aid mixer has quite a powerful motor you have to use a transformer or you would burn the motor out, so I am a very happy customer.
