I have given this player two stars because when it did play, the picture and sound quality were excellent. Sadly though, it failed to play DVDs far more often than it played them. The battery life was very good. ( when it agreed to play a DVD, I just kept going!) Usually though, like another reviewer I just kept getting the "loading" message.

I failed to test it when it arrived but waited until I went on holiday, by which time I was past the 30 day "send back " point. Amazon get five stars for their response. An instant reply, saying they didn't have another one as a replacement but would give me a full refund. This is why I sometimes pay a little more for a product in order to buy from Amazon.

I bought this portable dvd player for my twin daughters. It has two separate headphones sockets. The quality of picture is excellent. Delivery with amazon premium was so fast ordered in the evening yesterday we've got it today 8 a.m. Very good packaging. I use it during the long traveling hours in the car or in the airplane also on holidays. 6 hours of battery life is just great for kids and they can watch they favorite stories.
I like toshiba I already have a few things made by toshiba and I'm always happy with products.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend. He's used it a couple of times and has liked it.

The volume levels are good, but he would have preferred a pair of headphones with it (makes note: Birthday coming soon).

He was concerned about the battery life as the product gets older, but 6 hours should be sufficient for most people.

I have owned a number of DVD players but none as good as this one. I take it on holiday when foreign TV's can be terrible.
First the 9" screen and 800x480 resolution give a superb picture which is very easy to watch and can be view clearly even from the sides.
The 6 hour battery life gives a very long play time better than most others. No bag but has a car charger.
The whole unit is beautifully made and is as small as they can get and still fit in the screen and internals.
Sound good quality but a touch low in volume but perfect with earphones which I usually use. Takes 2 sets of earphones.
Appreciate the soft touch controls on the base of the screen supplemented with a well specified remote control.
Despite what they say it seems to play DVD+R perfectly well. I hope to enjoy years of pleasurable use from it.
This is an exceptional quality player at a bargain price. I really recommend it.

just purchased this from amazon had to return all it said was dvd loading have had a old toshiba for about 8 years still use it when other dvd players i have bought since failed and it still works perfectly i see they are now made in china just like the cheapos very disappointed

Have bought this to take on holiday as my husband hates flying. It is a lovely looking machine, very impressive. The reason I puchased is model is it has twin audio sockets so both of us can watch a film. Also the battery states it lasts for 6 hours on one charge which is far more than any of the others.
We have yet to try this out so hopefully it will live up to expectation

Excellent for DVD's. Shame it won't play DIVX files on SD or USB. Will play DVD-R's well no jumps or pauses. Good quality picture as well
