You get what you pay for,i was drawn by the size of the screen 43" and the look of the set.it delivered.this unit looks greatup. its thin,its shiny,its big,the interface is decent it has a cool usb media player that allows you to watch various media types really easily.
whats disappointing is the sound,its muffled and yet resonates to a ridiculously high pitch when watching movies,its manageable at this price but id reccomend using an amplifier /sarround sound set up.

Nice TV picture quality is ok have seen a lot better but for price of TV quality is fine. I found one problem if you lose your remote control there are no buttons on the tv to move up or down the stations etc a bit of a downer for me as quite often we have to look for our existing remote when it goes missing or when the batteries fail. If your with Cable or Sky not a problem but once again if the remote is missing you cant go from HTM 1 to 2 or AV not great in my eyes. Just wanted to let people out there know.Kind Regards,

The 43inch Samsung is a great tv. I thought of buying the panasonic or the LG as I have been told they are better TV's but I am extremlly hapy with my purchase. The delivery service was very quick and I would recommend this TV to anyone thinking of buying a plasma. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful

For the money this tv is almost impossible to beat. A decade or so ago you would have paid thousands for a 43 inch plasma tv, not 300 quid! What a bargain. The picture is really good when fed by a HD signal (most people would be hard pushed to tell the diference between 720p and full HD), no noticeable motion blur, excellent deep black levels and contrast.It would seem churlish to criticise this tv in view of the price, but a review should also highlight the bad as well as the good, so:
Firstly, the sound is appalling. I don't know how anyone can say this tv sounds good or even ok. The problem is the tiny speakers fitted into the attractive, slim frame design. The sound is harsh and tinny, but plug in a decent sound system and you are sorted. Just make sure you get to hear one before you decide to buy. This tv looks like a £600+ job until you hear it!
Secondly, connectivity is somewhat limited, this probably won't bother the majoriy of users, but check if you have a lot of set top boxes, games consoles etc to connect.
Thirdly, it's a plasma! A few years ago LCD tv's were miles behind plasmas in terms of picture quality, but now it is hard to tell them apart and LCD tv's have become more popular than plasmas. Plasmas use more juice and are more prone to screen burn, and some consider them to be a bit lesss reliable than LCD's, but in view of the price it's hard to get worked up about it.
So, to sum up, a fantastic picture at a brilliant price, let down big time by the sound quality, but use an external sound system and just enjoy the screen! Connectivity a bit limited and together with only 720p HD you can see where the corners have been cut to keep the price low, but with a 43 inch picture this good I can forgive a lot.

This was an excellent price. It came on time and it was very easy to set up. I have had a Samsung previously and they are a quality product with a great screen. I found the Samsung 51 inch plasma a treat to watch. I have watched films that I had seen before yet still enjoyed them as if I was watching them for the first time. I've been looking to get a new TV for a while and when I saw this I thought great a 43" TV at a good price. However as soon as I turned it on I wished I hadn't bought it. While the picture was okay, not great just okay. The sound was atrocious, I couldn't believe my hears, I checked everything was as it should be, spent ages playing with the sound setting, tried software update, factory reset and nothing made the slightest improvement. Even the news was hard to watch because the sound was so poor. Foolishly I didn't think to read the reviews for the speakers of this tv because I just assumed all modern tv's would have fairly good sound. I've never heard such poor sound quality, there is a reason this TV is so cheap, I've returned mine having read other people having the same experience. Very happy with my purchase, don't think you can complain when you get a 43" for just over £300Ok the sound is a little tinny but what are you expecting,as for the picture "superb"
