I bought this to replace a previous Optoma projector which worked perfectly with our DVD player. However, you need a separate adapter - which is not included with this projector - to connect a DVD player to it. It even has a picture in the manual, showing that you need an adaptor to connect it. But you don't find this out until you've bought it. Why not make it clear that you can't use this with a DVD player without buying another accessory? Also, it doesn't appear to have horizontal-keystone adjustment, so it has to be parallel to the surface you're projecting on.

I started to use it since December and absolutely in love in that! Bright colours,very nice picture, easy and simply to use...I am obviously have no strong knowledge in hi-teck, just a beginner, read reviews and recommendations. It was a great gift for all the family as we watch movies and our children love to watch a cartoons on big wall in our room. The wall is cream colour and it doesnt really matter what it is outside,day or night,the colours still are clear and bright. We connect the Projector to PC and here it is, ready for use! Still try to connect new 5.1 system to PC to have a great volume as well,but that is another long story:))
Absolutely recommend this Projector!

Really excellent projector. Bought it for my Guides and connected it up to the wii so they could play just dance and it was great. Clear picture even blown right up on the wall. Would recommend to anyone.

bought this and was quite easy for my husband to set up. Did not have to adjust colours as was perfect. For price I think it is great and colours to my eye look bright and clear. Did have two power plugs one European and uk so no problems there. Can not wait to have a film night now . As for saying no feet there are some which you have to twist up at front. The fan is also quiet . So far so good .

easy to use, easy to work and easy to connect.
not a full HD product but it fits just perfect for the main presentations on our school.
Good value for money and at the overall we recommend this.

Looking at previous reviews for projectors, I chose this for the reported low noise, bright display and budget cost.
I'm really pleased with it. the fan is very quiet and the display is bright enough. surprisingly there are no feet underneath so you need something to prop it up. to be honest though for the price it is a great projector.

I'm a tutor.I use this for illustration, especially of photographs where colour realism and clarity is important.The room needs to be darkened a little (blinds down) for all the colours to show up well (lots of windows in the room where I use it.)I have small groups of about 12 people so I project it so the image is about one and a half metres wide.I am very pleased with this projector, it's a great buy. We also use it at home to watch movies , great quality also for movies. I have it for over a year.I would thoroughly recommend it.

We use projector at work for desktop presentations. It provides a clear bright picture and is good value for the price.

Had it for 2weeks, returning for a refund.

Overall great projector for office use but for home cinema... Not worth it.

PROS:
*Light weight
*Good picture quality (not the best but adequate). for normal laptop browsing.

CONS:
*Loud Fan! Its not quiet at all regardless of what others have said (rather annoying).
*Generates allot of heat instantly (makes room very humid after a while). You need to open the windows to get some fresh air otherwise its just nasty humid sticky air.
*Needs a while for it to detect the right connection source. At least 40 odd seconds or so, and it will not detect it properly the majority of times. Very frustrating.
*Only takes VGA, and 2 other rubbish old school connectors. You cannot connect your PS3 or any other high definition devices apart from your laptop. Even if you do have the PS3 convertor to VGA. It doesn't work properly and the quality is incredibly poor.
*If you try and watch good quality (HD) films it reduces in its picture quality. Like 1080p - will be in 320p. And the scale ratio is always 800 x 600 and cannot be upscaled.
*The BLACKS are NOT BLACKS! They are still greyish. You will need to keep changing the brightness, contrast etc. with the type of film you watch. Some are way too bright & blind you, where as others are so darks you cannot see a thing.
