Great picture but problems with internet set up which was not the fault of the TV. Would definitely recommend though

Stunning picture, when I saw this in shop couldn't believe how it blew Sony, Panasonic and the rest into the weeds.
No disappointment when it came to home viewing from all sources.internet connection excellent none of the problems reported by other reviews. That's the good so am very disappointed with sound drop out when connected via optical link, am told its a common fault with Samsung tvs, this should not happen with products of this quality and price. Sound from all other sources is excellent, SAMSUNG YOU NEED TO FIX THIS QUICKLY COME ON!

Picture is excellent and the set up was reasonably easy for a non-techie. Had a problem connecting it to the internet as our wireless router doesn't give a strong enough signal in the lounge. I used a Devolo plug in thingy to attach an ethernet cable from the TV (and from our Sky box). This did the trick and the TV is now connected to the internet. Have watched a couple of 3D films and that is good as well.

Remarkable in all respects, although I don't particularly use the smart facility. The sound is excellent for such a thin TV.

I was going to wait till after xmas and see what the January sales would bring but temtation got the better of me. I'm glad it did. This is an excellent tv.It arrived on time, no xmas delays and was easy to set up and install. Everything works as it should and picture quality is great. It replaces a good Toshiba, bought before Toshiba started moving down market, and the picture and sound quality is discernabally better.The three d is great and not a quirky fashion item. Of course 3d tv programming is limited at present but that will change Im sure.All in all this tv is a good choice at this price range and will not dissapoint.

I replaced my 4 year old Sony 40KS4000 and must sasy this is an impressive TV. The colours are sharp and the 3D OHHHH WOW just blown away. My brother and another friend who came over and saw it have placed orders for similar TV (Samsung). The sound is loud and bassy (have not cranked it up as I have a little baby). My wife who did not initially see the point of changing the TV has admitted that it is a good move, if you knew my wife you would know what I mean, she does not like admitting to being wrong :).

I looked long and hard for a good all round 40" tv and after reading the reviews on here decided to buy this one.

Firstly the delivery. I ordered at 12.40pm on Thursday and it arrived about 10am the next day, what great service Amazon!!!
As for setting up it was a doddle, it almost sets itself up!
The sound is brilliant, anyone that says its no good must be mad. I was using a 5.1 surround system with my old tv to get that cinema feel, I haven't connected it up yet as the sound through the tv is so good.
One thing I would say is you will need to tweak the picture settings to get what is best for you other than that I am very very happy.

Just bought the 55es6800 as a package. Not from Amazaon but thought I would share my thoughts.Great looking telly, especially having come from a 7 year old 37" LCD TV. Picture quality is great, as my partner says like looking out the window. Sound not the best but have a Pioneer surround system for that. The set up is so easy took 10 seconds to find my internet wirelessly. But I would love to get rid of some of the apps especially kids zone etc,as I dont have any. So come on Samsung lets be able to customise the Apps page to suit us and not what you think we want. Thats my only gripe, apart from that its great, picture is superb and the remote is easy to use. All in all would definately buy again 5 Stars !!!!!!!

This is a "Which" best buy and I can see why. The picture and sound are first class. Be aware that it does come complete with 2 x 3D glasses even though it is not listed in the description.
